Brazil is riding high globally as the perfect place to invest according to the largest hedge firm. The information was given by the Fortress Investment Group managing director Gareth Henry during the San Francisco Alpha Hedge West Conference. He stated that looking at the equity market, the Brazilian currency and the interest rates have produced fantastic trades and the momentum may continue even after the elections. Mike Novogratz made similar remarks in May.
Henry also cited Scotland and Japan as cities offering potential good investments opportunities. He chose Japan since the previous year it had recorded the best, and most significant trades and the trend may continue in the coming year due to stronger growth of the Abenomics. Abenomics refers to the stimulus programs of the Japan government economics under Shinzo Abe the Prime Minister.
On Scotland, Henry stated that the country turmoil caused by the recently failed independence vote had created the perfect trading opportunities. He said that focusing on the global political and geopolitics is the key to spotting a good trading opening.

He attended the University of Edinburgh in Scotland and graduated in the year 2000 with Bachelor of Science in Actuarial mathematics. He started his working life at the Watson Wyatt as the management researcher. Gareth Henry 32 years old, left for the US in 2007 and joined the Fortress Investment Group as the alternative based assets manager. He later as the company managing director based in London and in charge of overseeing the various marketing strategies in both Middle Eastern, European and the African markets. Gareth main responsibility was overseeing the pension and wealth funds and the company insurance relations. Gareth later joined Investor Relations as the Global Head. The Global Head is a company that raises capital for the other firms globally. Gareth Henry uses the skills he learned from Fortress Investment Group to help the company grow and increase its sales portfolio.
